Resignifying Deaf Culture
DOCUMENTARY FILM
IN PRE-PRODUCTION
Deaf and... Resignifying Deaf Culture is the first of four full-length films by Morpheyes that empower the Deaf community to claim political agency and instigate social justice for Deaf people in the U.S. In this first film, we ask why Deaf culture is not seen or valued as other marginalized peoples are in the U.S. We make a case for Deaf culture and community through an academic lens and put to rest arguments that question Deaf culture's value and existence.
